Yes. To reduce waste and overproduction, each garment is made-to-order. This ensures better customization and sustainability.
Where are Akanya garments crafted?
All Akanya pieces are designed and meticulously crafted in Delhi, India, celebrating attention to detail at every stage of creation.
3.What fabrics are used in Akanya collections?
Akanya works with *carefully curated fabrics*, including premium cottons and refined blends, chosen for their comfort, structure, and enduring quality.
4.Are the colors of the garments exactly as shown online?
Due to differences in lighting and screen settings, colors may vary slightly. However, we strive to maintain color accuracy in product photos.
5.How do I choose the right size?
Please refer to our size guide on each product page. For best results, we recommend using your body measurements rather than standard sizing labels.
6.Can I request a custom size or fit?
Absolutely! We offer free size customization. You can mention your measurements in the order notes or email us after placing your order.
7.Are your clothes pre-shrunk or will they shrink after washing?
Most fabrics are pre-shrunk or stabilized. However, we recommend hand washing in cold water and air drying to maintain shape and quality.
8.Do your garments come with linings?
Some delicate or sheer garments may come with linings. If not, we mention it in the product description and offer customization if needed.
9.How should I care for my Akanya garments?
Hand wash separately in cold water using mild detergent. Avoid soaking and wringing. Do not use bleach. Dry in shade to preserve the color and fabric quality.
10.What is your return & exchange policy?
Return Policy (3 Days)
Customers may request a return within 3 days from the date of delivery.
Returns are accepted only in the following cases:
✔ Defective or damaged product
✔ Wrong product received
Returned items must be:
Unused and unwashed
With original tags intact
In original packaging
We do not accept returns for:
✘ Size issues
✘ Change of mind
✘ Sale or discounted products
✘ Custom-made or altered products
Once approved, refunds (if applicable) will be processed to the original payment method within 7–10 working days after quality inspection.
We offer a 7-day exchange policy from the date of delivery.
*We don’t provide a return refund unless the piece is found defected from our end.*
11. What are your shipping charges?
We provide free shipping on all orders.
12. What if I like a piece that is out of stock now?
If a design you like is out of stock, it is because we don’t have that fabric anymore. If you like the style and are okay to go with a different fabric from our web shop, we’d willingly customize it for you! 🙂
13. How do I know you’ve shipped my order?
Tracking details are mailed to you after we ship your order.
14. Do you customize clothes? If yes, is it charged extra?
Yes, we customize for a perfect fit.
We don’t charge anything extra for basic length alterations or minor alterations, however if the piece requires to be entirely customized, the customization charges vary between 5%-25% of the MRP of the product depending on the amount of customization.
15. What is the procedure for getting clothes customized?
While placing an order, we have a notes section at the checkout page where you can mention your customization details
16. How to send a gift voucher?
If you want to send a AKANYA gift voucher to your loved ones, just make a bank transfer or purchase an item of the same order value and let us know in the notes section about the details of the gift card.
17. How to use a store credit voucher?
If you have a store credit voucher in exchange of a product, you can enter the same at the checkout page in the discount box. Usually these vouchers are valid for a duration of three months and can be used against an order of same or higher value.
